Every winter, Silver Dollar City holds its annual winter festival. The festival features more than 100,000 Christmas lights, street performers and a wide variety of haute cuisine dishes. People of all ages will enjoy the wild surroundings of Silver Dollar City in the winter season.
2) The Haygoods.
Hands down, the Haygoods are the most popular ticket in Branson. Performing at the New Americana Theater, the Haygoods include 7 brothers and 1 sister, making them the ultimate family entertainment experience.
Every year during the winter season, they put on their Christmas show. And this year, they have a fresh and exciting lineup, freshly choreographed that has already been voted the best Christmas show in Branson by several of the leading critics.
This is without a doubt the “must do” event of the Branson winter season.
3) Branson Festival of Lights.
Near Highway 65, along the Branson Hills Parkway, you can see the animated displays and special effect lighting from the festival of lights. This attraction is said to bring more than 30,000 vehicles, all of them filled with families wanting to see the giant Santa Claus display and the 12-day Christmas scene.
This is an event you will want to take the whole family to. And it’s sure to bring back lots of fun memories for everyone.
4) Port of lights.
Every year in the city of Kimberling, a unique phenomenon occurs that the locals have called “The Port of Lights”. Located on the outskirts of Branson, Kimberling City is one of the main areas on the Table Rock Lake front.
The annual Festival of the Port of Lights includes a wide variety of Christmas lights, along the lake. Some of the screens are even placed in the water, in the heart of the main Table Rock channel.
5) Lake Taneycomo Nativity Scene.
A Branson tradition since 1948, the Nativity Scene overlooking Lake Taneycomo is one of the most magnificent visual displays known to man. In the tradition of the Ozark Mountain lifestyle, the nativity scene reflects all the values that made Branson what it is today. If you are in the Branson, Missouri area during the winter season, you don’t want to miss this.
