The tower elevator ride is an amazing experience for the whole family. Passengers can see any of the three glass walls of the high-speed elevators during the 20-foot-per-second ascent to the observation level. The observation level has two decks, one with an open-air viewing area that stretches around the observation deck and provides a 360-degree panorama of the city of Toronto. There is a glass floor area where visitors can walk. It takes a little courage to walk on it and look down 1,100 feet to the base of the tower and the Skydome. On a clear day you can see all the way to Niagara Falls. For the more adventurous, another elevator can take you up to the 1,400-foot level. This is the Skypod and you’ll be really stoned.

The CN Tower also has a deluxe revolving restaurant that takes dining to a whole new level of experience. The restaurant has the highest wine cellar in the world.

The Skydome, now called the Rogers Centre, hosts the MLB League’s Toronto Blue Jays and major pop music concerts. Tours of the stadium are offered. For shoppers, the Eaton Center mall is also an amazing experience. It’s a huge gallery-style mall with a glass ceiling that’s over 80 feet tall. The mall has 4 levels with hundreds of stores and shops offering every item imaginable.

For thrill seekers, Canada’s Wonderland, a giant theme park, has 14 roller coasters and plenty of other terrifying rides. The Top Gun roller coaster, a twisting, spiraling ride, the Vortex roller coaster off of Wonder Mountain, and the Psyclone, a giant swing, are perennial favorites. Wild Water Kingdom too

To see all the sites in downtown Toronto, you may want to join one of the tours offered by various tour operators. There are helicopter tours, boat tours, bus tours, walking tours, and even limousine tours.

If downtown Toronto doesn’t have everything you need for an exhilarating experience, then everything else you could want is close by. Niagara Falls is a 40-minute drive south. You can visit the wonder of the world of Canada and visit the casinos there. Muskoka has long been a favorite of vacationers from Canada and the United States. There are many resorts in Muskoka with golf courses, spas, and walking trails. This is rural Ontario country, an expanse of beautiful scenery with rocks, trees, and rolling hills. The Gravenhurst Boat Show takes place every year in early July.

Also nearby is Canada’s longest freshwater beach. For a day or two, you may want to drive north to Wasaga Beach on Georgian Bay. The water is warm and the beaches are safe.

Back in Toronto, there’s more to see. An architectural masterpiece you won’t want to miss is Casa Loma. Casa Loma is a stone castle not far west of the city center.
It is full of fascinating alcoves for children to explore and has a magnificent flower garden. This former Toronto castle has 98 rooms, 30 bathrooms, 25 fireplaces, 3 bowling alleys, a shooting gallery and a wine cellar.

If you like history, there are many old buildings and districts in Toronto that offer a glimpse of life in the past. The St Lawrence Distillery District, Entertainment District and Market area are very popular.

The Canadian Hockey Hall of Fame is a display of Canada’s national pastime housed in one of Toronto’s oldest preserved buildings. There are many exhibits showcasing the great players of Canada’s biggest sport. The Hall of Fame building is located in downtown Toronto and is housed within a modern shopping center which itself connects to a series of underground walkways that make it easy to access the city center on foot.
