Not to be confused with the similarly named Proform 675 Elliptical, the Proform Treadmill Model 675 is a circuit machine designed for cross-training. This is a relatively low-tech treadmill compared to some of the more exciting options on the home fitness market, and it’s better suited for lighter use.

On the console you’ll find a backlit LED panel, a simple display with readouts for time, distance, calories and incline. In manual mode, you can quickly start by pressing the start button or choosing one of the speed buttons. There are also increase and decrease controls to easily change your speed during your exercise program. Incline control is also within easy reach, with up and down buttons allowing 0.5% changes at a time. The screen also shows a 1/4 mile track when in manual mode and the thumb pulse sensor measures your heart rate as you walk or run.

The Proform Model 675 Treadmill includes six interactive cross-training programs designed to help you burn calories, while at the same time toning and strengthening your muscles. The six preset programs (two full body, two upper body, and two lower body) are assisted by the use of dumbbells and an inflatable exercise ball, which you must purchase separately. Likewise, the “optional” chest pulse sensor doesn’t come as a standard accessory, you have to buy it as an extra. He does, however, receive a pair of hand weights with the Proform Model 675 treadmill. The audio feature guides him through each cross-training program with the voice of a virtual trainer, helping him stay motivated.

One of the main attractions of the Proform model 675 treadmill is the folding function. Manufactured by ICON Health and Fitness, the SpaceSaver® design allows you to store the treadmill when space is at a premium.

The warranty on this model covers the motor for 10 years, with only 90 days for parts and labor.

Summary:

Pros: A simple elliptical treadmill with a convenient folding design.

Bad points: not for strenuous use; limited parts warranty does not instill confidence in this product.

Conclusion: Look into alternative treadmills before you rush out and buy the Proform 675.
