We all love food, but we limit ourselves to eating our favorite food. Eating well and balanced is a big task for busy people. Read this article to learn how busy people can choose healthy and balanced meals too. The article is written to provide some healthy lunch ideas for workers and homemakers.

During lunch, most of us are very busy at our workstations and it is difficult to choose a healthy meal for lunch on a short break. And during lunch time we all look for a nearby restaurant, like McDonalds, KFC or Burger King. The cheesy, greasy meal you ordered is a great filler, however, it’s a completely unhealthy lunch idea. Junk food is tasty and very filling, but it adds a lot of unwanted calories to our body. If you want a healthy body, stop ordering junk food for lunch.

To be healthy and fit, you need to eat a balanced meal at lunch and stop looking for restaurants near your work station. Try to pack your lunch at home before you go to sleep at night or early in the morning at your convenience. You must be thinking that this is a tough job, however try to do it for some time and I am sure you will love your lunch and never blame yourself after eating it. It can be difficult at first, as we are all surrounded by fast food restaurants and unhealthy snacks loaded with calories and fat. Eating can be fun and healthy once you understand the right food for your body.

Here are some of my test ideas for healthy lunches:
1. Veggie Burger: Stop eating greasy, cheeseburgers, try making a healthy veggie burger at home. You just need to pick some of the vegetables like:
Corn – half a cup, mushroom – eight to ten finely chopped onion – one finely chopped, 1 can drained chick peas, garlic – two finely chopped, a small handful of chopped cilantro and parsley, a teaspoon of olive oil, salt to taste. Mix all the above ingredients and make balls. Preheat the oven for 10mins. Now, on a non-stick baking sheet, place the veggie burgers for 10-15 minutes at 150 degrees. Serve the veggie burger with brown burger bap or pitta. This is a simple and easy healthy lunch idea for all working people.

2. Chicken Lettuce Salad: For this recipe you need- one can of chicken broth, 4 fl oz of dry white wine, one teaspoon of fresh lemon juice, one dessert spoon of olive oil, garlic- one finely chopped , 16 oz skinless, diced boneless chicken (we recommend using breasts for this recipe), one finely chopped green, red, and yellow bell pepper. A handful of freshly chopped lettuce. In a pan add the olive oil, chicken pieces and wine until the chicken is tender, then mix the rest of the ingredients with salt. Remove chicken from skillet and place in your lunch bowl, serve with shredded lettuce. This is a tasty and healthy lunch idea for chicken lovers.
