Is there a better way to buy a laptop or notebook other than physically going to a computer store?

Of course, there is still the old-fashioned, classic way of referring to a thick catalogue, which can span multiple volumes. But in this age of technology and instant gratification of needs and wants, there is nothing better than shopping online.

Going through the best computer deals we have in mind will easily take several hours of pure browsing through a ton of deals from many of the online stores. Due to the high volume of manufacturers and the endless production of new models year after year, it is difficult for us to keep up with the latest models, designs and features.

Whenever we shop online, it would make our search easier and our purchases easier if we kept several important points in mind when shopping:

1. Prepare a pre-selection of the models that interest us. This short list should be based on another list of our requirements or specifications in terms of power, speed, and most importantly the cost of the laptop or notebook.

2. Consider the balance between size and lifespan. When the laptop is small in size, the smaller footprint will mean less space to dissipate heat, which is not conducive to a longer machine life.

3. Consider the balance between the size and speed of the laptop. When the size of the laptop is smaller, we generally have a smaller speed due to the heat factor again.

4. Are you using the laptop or laptop to play online? If so, a smaller size is less preferred because the screen is smaller and the small size may not allow for a more powerful graphics card.

Finally and the most important thing to check is the purchase price, measured against all the qualities that we know about the laptop we want to buy. If we have to stick to the budget, then we need to consider other alternatives like buying refurbished laptops or laptops that we don’t have enough funds on.

So is there a better way to shop online? In fact, a better way to shop online is to make a list of comparison features of laptops we’ve seen and are interested in. By comparing laptops or notebooks, we can identify true value gems for many laptops that continue to have value but are thrown onto the market second-hand or refurbished because their owners upgraded to newer models. These can be purchased through eBay stores or auction sites.
