The Canadian pop punk princess has grown up, Avril Lavigne is now going for a glamorous look. She used to be known for her tomboyish style, with a tie, tank top, baggy clothes, tennis shoes or converse boots, and laces tied around her toes.

In July 2006, she married her boyfriend of two years, Derek Whibley, singer and guitarist for the rock band Sum 41. They had known each other since she was 17, and the wedding took place on private property in Montecito, California, in front of 110 guests.
She was wearing a dress designed by Vera Wang and her father walked her down the aisle to Mendelsson’s wedding march. It was a very glamorous event with lots of real flowers and rose petals at the ceremony, followed by a one hour cocktail and a formal meal.
Whibley had been his best friend ever since they met and arranged a secret vacation for him in Venice. Taking her on a gondola to a picnic, he proposed to her in one of the most romantic cities in the world.
